Karin Csernohorski, born in 1980 in Graz, is a freelance artist dedicated to stop-motion video art, as well as illustrating and painting. She is specialized but not limited in plasticine clay crafts.
In her art work she deals with language as an instrument of power and manipulation. She designs her paintings and videos on the basis of different techniques from neuroscience and behavioral psychology and illuminates socially relevant topics, transformed into allegorical representations of surreal plasticine scenes.
In addition to stage-crafts and scenography, she was mainly influenced by the music video work of Michele Gondry and by reading comics and watching cartoons from the 80's.
